The Belong Here Program offers multiple cash incentives to help ensure you get started on the right foot. Not only will you receive a $6,000 cash stipend, but you’ll also get $1,000 in gift cards and memberships to the following local museums, nature preserves, cultural attractions, and coworking spaces, including the following:

• Evansville Museum of Arts, History, & Science
• Children’s Museum of Evansville
• Wesselman Woods
• Cowork Evansville
• Evansville Philharmonic

The incentives for the Belong Here Program are provided by e is for everyone, Evansville Regional Economic Partnership with the goal of attracting talent to the local economy. Our incentive process is outlined below:

• Upon acceptance, applicants will move to the Evansville Region within six months.
• Incentive disbursements will occur in two installments: the first half upon relocation to the Evansville Region and the second half after maintaining continuous residence in the area for a period of 24 months.

Yes, Uncle Sam’s favorite rules still apply, and recipients are responsible for any taxes associated with the Belong Here Program's payment for relocation to Evansville, Indiana Region. Talk to a tax professional for advice on how to cross this bridge.

You’re in luck - this isn’t the Olympics, and there are only a few requirements that you’ll need to meet to qualify. 

• You currently live outside the state of Indiana and Greater Evansville, IN-KY (includes Henderson County, Kentucky)
• You commit to moving to the Evansville Indiana Region (Gibson, Posey, Warrick, Vanderburgh Counties in Indiana) for at least two years
• Must prove employment in the Evansville, IN Region (Gibson, Posey, Warrick, Vanderburgh Counties). Remote workers, gig workers and self-employed workers are not eligible
• Your individual income is over $6,000
• You agree to provide employment and residency documentation to determine eligibility

Upon your application being accepted, you will have six months to make the transition to the Evansville Region.

Oh, and in case you forgot, Evansville boasts affordable living, with housing costs standing at 8% below the national average and median home prices significantly lower than those in other areas. No you do not. The Evansville Region offers a diverse array of housing options, ranging from downtown apartments to large family homes (and everything in between.) Whether you are a solo traveler or relocating with your family, you will discover a range of housing solutions personally catered to you.

All applications will undergo a screening process to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements. Applications that pass the initial eligibility screening will be reviewed by our internal board of newcomer services for consideration and acceptance into the program.

Ghosting isn’t our style. Our team is committed to promptly screening any applications soon after they are received. Typically, you can expect to receive a reply within 3-5 business days sent to your email. And if congratulations are in order, you’ll receive an outline of the next steps.

A prerequisite for participation in this program is the willingness to assume a position headquartered in the Evansville Region. If the employer is headquartered in the Evansville Region and grants the flexibility of remote work, that is acceptable!

Part of the requirements to receive the cash incentive in full is to stay within the Evansville Region for 24 consecutive months. If you need to relocate within 24 months, the remaining portion of the incentive may be forfeited.
